Egale Youth OUTreach

Ongoing individual counselling; suicide prevention, intervention and postvention care; same-day crisis counselling; homelessness and housing supports; and drop-in space for LGBTQ2S youth up to age 29, providing meals, basic necessities, and TTC tokens.

All counselling and programming are grounded in client-centered, strengths-based, anti-oppressive framework. Case management support includes connection with emergency shelter and housing solutions; assistance with applying for government health and social assistance programs including OW, ODSP and OHIP; help with obtaining government-issued identification and/or amending sex markers on official documentation; coaching on resumes, job searches and employment agency referrals; and exploration of educational and learning opportunities, including high school, post-secondary and trades programs.

Once a month we receive a visit from a queer and trans-friendly Nurse Practitioner who provides healthcare and referrals and can connect participants with a GP if they don’t already have one.

Wheelchair accessible.
