Queerios (Kanata), WOCRC

Queerios is a drop in program for all youth 12-18 who identify as LGBTQ+, run entirely by LGBTQ+ staff. We focus on social activities, positive mental health, skill-building, and connecting youth to resources. Activities include art, sports, and games, as well as snacks, a full dinner, and dessert.

We can accommodate most dietary needs - there is always a vegetarian option for every meal. Gluten free and vegan will be accommodated, but may be served a different meal than everyone else (IE if tonight's dinner is perogies with cookies for dessert, a gluten free person may be served chili and a gluten free dessert).

Our main space is a single large room and can get overstimulating for those who prefer low stimulation environments. We provide spaces for those who get overstimulated to take a break, but in general our drop in can be high sensory input.
