Queerly Beloved, Trans Wellness Ontario

We recognize that faith and/or spirituality can create vital spaces for self awareness and can connect us to communities and nature in meaningful ways. At the same time, we understand that places of worship, and institutional religion have caused great pain and trauma for many queer folks. This group is designed to function like a tour through the challenges and blessings of navigating our longing for faith/spirituality and our gender journeys. We will explore what faith and spirituality means, and ways to connect your inner identity to the wider world in a spiritual and/or religious context. You don’t have to belong to a particular religion in order to be part of this group - simply to be interested in learning, sharing, and listening for the call in each of us.

Please note: this is not a space to discuss issues around mental health or trauma. If you are experiencing these challenges, we certainly encourage you to connect with one of our social workers who can individually work with you to address these challenges.
