Our 408-HELP (4357) line provides telephone support to individuals in the community who are at risk and their most vulnerable. Highly-trained volunteer responders (with the support of professional staff) connect with callers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our team provides callers with emotional support and crisis intervention when they are socially isolated, marginalized, struggling with chronic mental health problems, in distress, attempting to navigate family violence or in need of emergency response or suicide prevention + intervention + postvention.

Our 408-HELP (4357) line provides:
Emotional support service for those with chronic mental health problems
Support & crisis intervention services for those currently experiencing distress or crisis
Family violence response
Suicide prevention services
Emergency intervention and response

Canadian Suicide Prevention Service
- PHONE AND TEXT SUPPORT FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE IN CRISIS AND/OR SUICIDAL
The Canada Suicide Prevention Service (CSPS) is a national, dedicated crisis and suicide phone and text service. Live Phone and Text is a safe, confidential, one-on-one conversation with a highly-trained empathic responder. The CSPS Text services is available to anyone and is a good option if you're not comfortable using the phone. Our text service allows you to take your time to process what you want to say, work through how you are feeling, and communicate with privacy in a way that is comfortable for you or where others cannot overhear you.

Our responders are available to support you regarding all issues related to crisis and/or suicidal thoughts. We are here to help! Our service is confidential and the name you offer can be an alias.

HOW TO CONNECT VIA TEXT AND PHONE
Text is available from your mobile phone from 4:00 pm to 12 midnight daily and is accessed by dialing 45645. You will need to complete a pre-chat survey and agree to terms and conditions of service and a responder will be available to you. Please remember to complete the post-text survey as well. In addition to our text service, you can always call our Toll Free 24-hour crisis and/or suicide phone lines. We are here to listen to your feelings and concerns and support you.
