SAEFTY Ottawa (Support And Education For Trans Youth Ottawa) is an independent organization created and run by and for trans and gender diverse youth. We aim to bridge the gap between trans and gender diverse people of all ages, by giving them the chance to connect in a space that is free from transphobia, homophobia, heterosexism, sexism, racism, ableism, islamophobia, colonialism, and other forms of oppression. Some events may intentionally centre on youth who are younger (eg. elementary school aged) or older (eg. high school aged and beyond), but all events are open to trans people of all ages. As a community organization, SAEFTY is committed to providing a safer space for all trans and gender diverse youth where they can meet and connect with each other in a non-medical environment. We aim to provide positive and relatable role models to trans kids and youth in a supportive space where they can be themselves.
Brantford Pride Month is an annual event that runs in June. The main event is Pride in the Park held the third Saturday in June.
The Brantford Pride Committee is a grassroots group, working to mobilize around issues affecting the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Brantford, while holding space to celebrate and honour the 2SLGBTQ+ community!

The Youth Sexual Health Action Group (YSHAG) is a group of youth who strive to create safer spaces that foster an open dialogue about relationships and sexual health for diverse youth in Waterloo Region. We meet weekly to discuss how to improve youth specific resources, to work on closing the gap between the school board equity and inclusion policy and student experiences of inclusion, or lack thereof, in their education and to work on their own self-led projects.
Doin’ It is a sex-positive, queer-positive, pleasure-positive, body-positive sexual health resource for youth in Waterloo Region. We support youth, young adults, service providers for youth and other caring adults in an anonymous, confidential and inclusive environment through the Anonymous Text Line, Instagram, Twitter, and email or visit our website.
The Gay/Bi/MSM Men's Clinic is a sex positive & stigma free environment open to all men who have sex with other men, seeking clinical and health services including sexual health testing and treatment, physical exam, access to PrEP, vaccinations, one-on-one support, harm reduction and other health services.
York Rainbow Support: provides Individual, Couple and Family Counselling Services for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Two Spirit, Queer & Questioning.
FSYR is proud host and lead agency for the York Rainbow Network and York Rainbow Information, Referral and Support Line 1-888-York-LGBT (1-888-967-5542). The York Rainbow Network was established through a Trillium Grant to reduce barriers and build capacity to serve the LGBTTQ Community. In various community settings in North East and East London, the Youth Outreach Workers (YOW) work together with youth, ages 12-21 (aprx), to build their resiliency and skills. Workers build trust with youth, families, and the community, and support them to find appropriate programs and services. The YOW team enhances and promotes the development of community based services and leadership opportunities for young people in the community. This program is LGBTQ+ friendly and offers advocacy and support for LGBTQ youth.
The Health Centre offers Trans and Non-Binary Health Services. We also offer services like Anonymous HIV testing and the MyCare HIV treatment program. The Youth Outreach Worker team also serves a diverse population including youth who may identify and 2SLGBTQIA+ and can help connect clients to these programs and others.
There are also system navigation supports, and many different health related programs and groups that you can participate in.

EQuIP is a student-run, education based, LGBTQ+ initiative at Queen's University. Some of our work includes holding weekly discussions on relevant topics/issues, organizing social and political events, and doing out-reach work (i.e. educational campaigns). Our physical location in the John Deutsch University Centre (JDUC), room 342, also works as an inclusive space where folks can meet and get resources, though it is temporarily closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
We actively host virtual discussions and other events during the school year that are open to all - check out our Facebook or Instagram for event details and updates.

Transitional housing and intensive case management for 2SLGBTQ youth for one year.
A free, weekly drop in settlement workshop, Thursdays from 4:30-7pm for newcomers, refugees and immigrants who identify as part of the LGBTQIA spectrum. Dinner included!
Through this program, you can also get access to 1 on 1 settlement support, counselling, and primary health care at Access Alliance.
HIV/AIDS, Hep C and Harm Reduction services. Our mission is to assist and support all people infected and/or affected by HIV/AIDS and/or Hepatitis C and to limit the spread of the viruses through education, outreach and treatment strategies. We service North Bay and area (from Moosonee to Parry Sound).
We provide:
- Counselling and support groups to discuss any concerns related to HIV/AIDS or Hepatitis C
- Needle exchange
- Harm reduction programs
- Health kits, consultation, and vaccinations
- Education and referral to other programs as needed

QTBIPOC sauga is a grassroots gathering of queer and trans, Black, Indigenous and people of colour (QTBIPOC) communities from across Peel.
We began in January 2016 as a way of addressing the lack of spaces dedicated to QTBIPOC people in Peel. Since then, little has changed in terms of spaces for QTBIPOC folks.
We host monthly meetups (virtual due to COVID-19). In the past, we have held monthly meetups (location not shared publicly due to safety concerns) where community members can connect, share food, and build community. QTBIPOC sauga has held meetups in Brampton as well! We have organized events including panels, workshops, performance events and more. We also advocate locally.
We are not a non-profit organization, but a grassroots group.

The Regional Warm Line, a pre-crisis, mental health service, is here to help. Each night, 365 days a year, peer support workers are available to answer your call and support people facing lived experiences of mental health challenges/illness. When you need to talk, give us a call!
We host bilingual discussion/support groups and social events in Eastern Ontario. Meetings are open to all, regardless of age, sexual orientation or gender identity. Parents, friends and spouses of LGBTQ persons are also welcome.

The Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity (CCGSD) intersectionally promotes diversity in gender identity, gender expression, and romantic and/or sexual orientation in all its forms on a national level through services in the areas of arts, heritage, history, education, health, and advocacy. Our resources and programming can be used to uplift gender and sexual minorities, as well as give the tools to wider populations in building allyship.
As a leader in anti-discrimination work, CCGSD runs programming all over Canada and the United States. Because of our hundreds of volunteers, we are able to reach over 250,000 people annually. We are also a proud leader in the International Day of Pink (DayOfPink.org), engaging millions of people in wearing pink and to run programs that stand up to bullying. This year we will host 94 day-long queer & trans youth forums, over 3000 workshops in schools and community and host the Canadian GSA Youth Leadership Forum. We are the home of Canada’s 2SLGBTQIA+ Service Providers Network, the Canadian Intimate Partner Violence Prevention Program, Ontario’s Sport Inclusion project, the International Day of Pink, and we are building North America’s first 2SLGBTQIA+ Museum.
Black CAP is an organization that works to reduce HIV/AIDS in Toronto’s Black, African and Caribbean communities and enhance the quality of life of Black people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. HIV/AIDS is spreading quickly in Toronto’s Black communities and we believe that our work is more important than ever.

The Youth Beyond Barriers (YBB) Program provides confidential services for youth who identify within 2SLGBTQ+ communities. The YBB Program provides group support, individual counselling, and consultations and trainings to the larger community.
Groups: The YBB group brings together 2SLGBTQ+ youth to share their experiences and talk about issues that matter to them. The group offers support and education on a range of relevant issues and topics. Topics covered include current events related to queer and trans communities, relationships, and embodiment of sexualities and genders. It is an open group that operates year round. There are currently 2 active groups running: one in Mississauga and one in Brampton.
Counselling: Individual counselling allows youth to explore their identities and lived experiences, and uncover ways of moving, operating, and thinking that are helpful in their lives. The counselling component is community-based and utilizes a strengths-based, client centred approach. Additionally, support can be provided for parents/caregivers of youth involved in the program
Trainings/Workshops: The Youth Beyond Barriers Program provides a series of educational trainings and helps organize and support community events that raise awareness around queer and trans issues. Through the workshops, participants can expect to start thinking about how sexual orientation and gender identity interact with other parts of identity, to explore their own roles in oppressive systems, and think about how to create Anti-Racist, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming spaces. These workshops are designed as interactive, youth-focused, and are developed from a strength-based perspective.
TG Innerselves offers group support for trans and non-binary people and family members. We run weekly trans social support groups. Both groups are currently online contact us on Facebook if you would like to join. We offer education services including workshops, presentations, and staff training to organizations, schools, and businesses that are looking to create safer and affirming spaces for trans and non-binary people. Our catchment area expands from Muskoka to James Bay, and from the Quebec border to White River.
Queer Sphere is a committee under the Diversity & Equity Office that promotes the awareness, acceptance and social advocacy for Queer members on campus with the aim for students to meet and socialize with their peers, as well as to impact the university in a positive way. Regular events and meetings include discussions, games night, movie night and guest speakers.
The objective of this program is to bridge in settlement agencies’ response to 2SLGBTQ+ newcomers. The program will provide a safe space through a drop in program for 2SLGBTQ+ newcomers to receive responsive services and information regarding settlement with a 2SLGTBQ+ lens, strengthen social networks, and decrease isolation.
Black Queer Youth (BQY) is a weekly drop-in group where we celebrate Black queer and trans spectrum people’s experiences and accomplishments. It is a space dedicated to your creativity and desires. It is a safer space for you express your whole self.

Spectrum is a safe and positive drop-in space open to all Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, transgender, two spirit and questioning (LGBT2SQ+) youth ages 12-24.

Through our annual Festivals in Toronto and Ottawa, our filmmaker initiatives, our youth engagement and our year-round events and screenings, Inside Out is engaged every day in challenging attitudes and changing lives.
